I benchmark by running a set route through the map on an empty server in warmup. In regards to the input lag i did not notice any difference, although those who did might have felt it due to a higher overall framerate, and possibly lower frametimes (maybe?)īonus info: The new update also fixes the problem with m_rawinput 0 if you want to use that.ĮDIT: I should probably have mentioned my testing methods. CPU-limited performance (Which most of people here probably are) did not see any change after the update unfortunately. The windows update increases GPU-limited performance by a fair bit. I also tested the maps on 640x480 with everything on low, to see if there was a difference in CPU performance, but it was basically the same. As a result, the release notes for Windows 10, version 20H2 and Windows 10, version 2004 will share an update history page.

The biggest difference was on Dust 2, where i saw a 46fps increase on average (13%)īoth benchmarks saw a higher minimum and maximum fps as well. What's new for Windows 10, version 20H2 and Windows 10, version 2004 release notes Windows 10, versions 20H share a common core operating system and an identical set of system files. So as you can see there is a noticable difference. I ran every benchmark 3 times to see what kind of "margin of error" they had, and it was basically nothing (5~ fps) So since i saw the frontpage post about how the new Windows 10 update increased fps and reduced input lag i decided to put it to the test and run some benchmarks!īelow are my results.
